something related to my previous post...

Today I read this post on One for the Road. I think it's worth some attention.

I especially appreciated this statement: There is no substitute for spiritual practices of prayer, reading the bible, worship, giving, fasting, or serving, but no prescribed way that works for everyone. However it is far easier to do these things communally/as part of a community rather than as a lone spiritual ranger.

Wow! That's good! I was actually thinking something very similar. I think that everyone has their own special way of connecting with God and others. I think that you need to find that way and go with it. BUT I also think that community is also very very important. Whether that community is just inviting people over for food or hanging out at a local coffee shop or something else. I believe more people are affected and brought towards Christ by hanging out with other good Christians. They see what's in you and are affected by that more than by your pushing your faith on them. You also might look into a home church. That might be more your style. Just a thought though. But no place is going to be perfect. You need to remember that. No one place is going to have everything for you, which is fine because ultimately your there for God, not yourself. :) Love ya, girl! ~Stace~

That's what I get for leaving such a long comment on the last post... Guess I am just too good and saying what has already been said:-)
